David and his team actually hide treasure chests across the state containing gold, silver, Idaho star garnets, cash and other prizes. Treasure hunters get 43 clues built around Idaho history, geography, landmarks, riddles and more. Solve the clues, put boots on the ground and you might find the X.

But as David explains, the real treasure is often everything that happens along the way.

Families get off the screens and around a map. People explore parts of Idaho they have never seen. They learn local history, discover new communities, hike new country and make memories together.
